Instructions (7 steps)

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Press the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges. Prick the bottom a few times with a fork.

  2. 2

Line the crust with parchment paper and fill with pie weights or dried beans. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove the weights and parchment and bake for another 5 minutes until lightly golden. Set aside.

  3. 3

Melt butter in a small pan over medium heat. Add the chopped broccoli and cook for 3–4 minutes until tender. Remove from heat and stir in the spinach.

  4. 4

In a bowl, whisk together eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, salt, and garlic powder until smooth and well combined.

  5. 5

Spread the sautéed veggies evenly over the pre-baked crust. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top, then pour the egg mixture over everything.

  6. 6

Bake at 375°F for 30–35 minutes, until the center is just set and the top is lightly golden. A knife inserted in the center should come out clean.

  7. 7

Let the quiche cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing. Cut into small wedges or squares for little hands.
